Product Details

Details: This is a lovely brooch fabricated of 15k with pave turquoise stones. By looping around itself continuously, a knot has no start or end point and is a symbol of unity. Its many twists and spirals have come to signify infinite love and partnership.

Turquoise has been widely used as a gemstone since Egyptian times, where it was perceived to have had talismanic properties of protection and was viewed as a symbol of heaven on earth. It reached Europe through the Turkish trade route from Persia (now Iran). The Persian mines were known to have the most beautiful colors and quality of turquoise. Queen Victoria was very enamored with turquoise and her influence made turquoise hugely popular during her reign (1837-1901).

Measurements:The brooch is 2" long by 1" wide. The total weight is13.4g.

Origin: English.
